扫巡，是莆田人的传统。据说我们祖先曾经以船为家，过水上生活。每年岁末人们都要把所住的船打扫洗涤一遍，名曰“扫船”。后来虽移居岸上，筑屋而住，这一习俗却遗传了下来。因为莆田方言“船”与“巡”同音，逐渐变成扫巡，其实就是扫除的意思。一年到头，的确该进行一次大扫除。
秦国庆的篮球很好，经常和我们班的男生比赛，但男生都成了他的手下败将，他可以背过去投球，有很多高年级的学生都做不到，而他却做到了。

到了目的地，天却突然翻脸了，下起了蒙蒙细雨了。但已阻挡不了我们看龙舟比赛的热情，虽然比赛还没有开始，但早已是人山人海，场面劲爆。
比赛终于在大家的期盼中开始了，各个队伍都做好了准备，都在试试待发了，随着一声枪响，各个参赛队就飞速得划了起来。暂时的是1号队，只见他们奋力得划着，速度就像那离弦的箭一般，其他队伍也不甘落后，想反败为胜。这时，雨停了，水面吹来了凉爽的风，像个小精灵为3号队加油鼓劲，这让3号队充满了信心，不一会儿，3号队追上了摇摇的1号队。1号队不甘示弱。比赛进入了白热化阶段，我们观众都把目光集中在1号队和3号队的身上，似乎赛场上只有1号队和3号队这两只对伍。我目不转睛得盯着1号队和3号队，终于，到冲刺了，观众的心不禁悬了起来，胜负揭晓了，是3号队赢了。他们凭着团结就是力量，力量赢得胜利的的信念，赢得了比赛。
我想：这场比赛真是惊心动魄，我以后也要学习3号队，不怕困难，勇往直前，团结就是力量。

unable to regain the respect of the emperor，in his sorrow chu yuan threw himself into the mi low river. because of their admiration for chu yuan， the local people living adjacent to the mi lo river rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons.
although they were unable to find chu yuan，their efforts are still commemorated today during the dragon boat festival.

那一天早晨，刚起床我就听到外面有人在吆喝：“卖粽子喽！卖粽子喽！”我一听到粽子，就想起楚国得爱国诗人屈原来。两千多年前，也是五月初五这一天，屈原抱石投江，老百姓坐船去江中寻找，可无济于事。为了保护屈原得尸体，人们包粽子扔进江里喂鱼虾。
这时，妈妈已经把粽子买了回来。我打开竹叶皮先吃了一口。嗯！有一种糯米得清香，我紧接着又来了一口，一个大红枣蜜甜蜜甜得，我大口大口得吃起来，一连吃了好几个，弄得我满脸上都是白胡子，简直像一只大花猫。妈妈见了我开玩笑得说：“哎，这是谁家得孩子啊？”我和妈妈哈哈大笑起来。

as a chinese, i was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. perhaps i was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a u port which i can only see cargo ships and cant see the sweeping ocean. so i have never see the dragon boat contest since i was born. so the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating zong zi. my mother made zong zi when i was a child. because there was no supermarket, we couldnt buy finished product from market. however, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didnt make them anymore. the boat festival began to fade out my mind.
in reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as christams, saint valentines day, april fools day, some people also celebrate easter in church. talk about dragon boat festival, its the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as witchs day in czech. people burned the witchs puppet so as to welcome spring. some people are willing to celebrate foreign festivals because they like alien culture. and vice versa, foreigners who like china also concern about chinese traditional culture.

我端午节有一次去民族文化村看到了赛龙舟。每条龙舟上都有许多名选手，也有许多龙舟。龙舟停在起跑线上，选手们正坐在龙舟上休息。
过了不久，只看见一个人一吹口哨，所有的龙舟快速向前面行驶，每条龙舟上面都有一个选手在前面敲鼓，为后边的选手加油鼓劲，别的选手们在后面举起桨拼命地向前划着龙舟。
我看见每条龙舟颜色都各有区别，龙舟的相同之处是都像*一样，有龙头，有龙尾，真是漂亮极了！有*舟是深红色的，上面雕刻着精美的图案。有*舟是天蓝色的，上面也有许多美丽的图案，一只只美丽的白天鹅雕刻在龙舟上，闪闪发光。
有*舟是棕色的，这条龙舟真是与众不同，别的龙舟都有一条条花纹来装扮自己，而这条龙舟一点花纹都没有，只是一条普普通通的龙舟。这条龙舟用木头做成。还有*舟是橙黄色的，这条龙舟是用一个个小小的点做成的花纹，这小点很精致，也非常美丽！
一开始，那条深红色的龙舟遥遥。排在第二的是那条橙黄色的龙舟。但是后来那条棕色的龙舟，不知怎么了，好像有一股强大的力量带着棕色龙舟，棕色龙舟上的选手们奋力地划着龙舟，划到了第一名，不过虽然他们的龙舟已经到了第一名，但他们依然不骄傲，快速地划着龙舟。别的龙舟怎么样也追不上棕色龙舟。（551336.Com 合同帮帮网）

清晨，我一起床，就看见妈妈已经把香喷喷的粽子和热乎乎的鸡蛋摆在桌子上了。我赶紧洗脸、刷牙，然后就叫爸爸一起来吃粽子。我们一家边吃边谈论粽子。我问爸爸：“粽子形状很特别，既不是方的，也不是圆的，那是什么形状呢？”爸爸没有回答我的话，却给我讲了端午节吃粽子的来历。爸爸说：“传说吃粽子，是为了纪念古代诗人屈原的。屈原一生写过许许多多着名的诗篇，提出过许许多多爱国的政治主张，但是楚王不采纳。最后，楚国国土被侵占，他满怀忧愤，于公元前278年五月初五这一天跳江自尽。人们为了怀念他，崇敬他，在每年的这一天，就把粽子和许多好吃的都投到江里，意思是不让鱼儿们去吃屈原的尸体。”爸爸说完了。
我说：“屈原真是好样的！可是妈妈，粽子是怎么包的？”妈妈说：“粽子是用鲜嫩的苇叶包着雪白的糯米和鲜红的大枣，或者豆子。煮熟以后，剥开变成墨绿色的芦苇叶，就看见洁白的米团在里面，很好吃。”
上午，我和妈妈去菜市场买回了艾草，挂在门上。据说在端午节这天，门上挂艾草，不仅可以保健康，还可以去邪恶，招百福。我家门上挂有艾草了，今后我们一家人都会健康平安。

at the end of the zhou dynasty, the area we now know as china had fallen into a state of fragmentation and conflict. while the zhou dynasty had ruled for several centuries, several other states, originally feudal domains, tried to carve out their own kingdoms. the state of qin would eventually emerge the victor and unify all of china under one rule for the first time in history.
qu yuan served as minister to the zhou emperor. a wise and articulate man, he was loved by the common people. he did much to fight against the rampant corruption that plagued the court-- thereby earning the envy and fear of other officials. therefore, when he urged the emperor to avoid conflict with the qin kingdom, the officials pressured the emperor to have him removed from service. in exile, he traveled, taught and wrote for several years. hearing that the zhou had been defeated by the qin, he fell into despair and threw himself into the milou river. his last poem reads:
many a heavy sigh i have in my despair,grieving that i was born in such an unlucky time.i yoked a team of jade dragons to a phoenix chariot,and waited for the wind to come,to sour up on my journey
as he was so loved by the people, fishermen rushed out in long boats, beating drums to scare the fish away, and throwing zong zi into the water to feed braver fish so that they would not eat qu yuan's body.
the modern dragon boat festival started from that time to this day, people commemorated qu yuan through dragon boat races, eating zong zi, and several other activities, on the anniversary of his death: the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
dragon boat races are the most exciting part of the festival, drawing crowds of spectators. dragon boats are generally brightly painted and decorated canoes. ranging anywhere from 40 to 100 feet in length, their heads are shaped like open-mouthed dragons, while the sterns end with a scaly tail. depending on the length, up to 80 rowers can power the boat. a drummer and flag-catcher stand at the front of the boat. before a dragon boat enters competition, it must be “brought to life” by painting the eyes in a sacred ceremony. races can have any number of boats competing, with the winner being the first team to grab a flag at the end of the course. annual races take place all over china, hong kong, macao, taiwan, and other overseas chinese communities.
