如今，当人们再次提起孝时，会想起你对父母所做的一切吗？会想到最美孝心少年们为父母做出的事情吗？父母是这个世界上唯一爱你却不求回报，唯一为你付出却从不说后悔的人。谁没有父母？谁没有老去的那一天？孝敬父母是道德的开始，一个人的修养与品德从孝开始。
郯子的父母年老体衰，得了眼疾，需要饮用鹿乳才能进行疗治。他便披鹿皮进入深山，钻进鹿群中，挤取鹿乳，供奉双亲。一次取乳时，看见猎人正要射杀一只麂鹿，郯子急忙掀起鹿皮现身走出，将挤取鹿乳为双亲医病的实情告知猎人，猎人敬他孝顺，以鹿乳相赠，护送他出山。
每个人的家不同，对孝的理解不同，所做出的行动不同。或许在一个完整幸福的家庭，孝就是让家里的每一个人开心；而在一个残缺的家庭里，孝便是让年幼的孩子承担起不该他们这个年龄所承担的事务。
